NEWS
The Granite Way It is reported in RAIL magazine that the campaign to re-open the Okehampton to Tavistock route is gathering momentum. This has been ongoing at least since 2014 when storm damage to the Dawlish sea wall cut off rail access to Devon and Cornwall for a time. Following the government announcement of money for such campaigns this year this one has been re-kindled and has support from local MPs. The Granite Way is also a Sustrans route. Any change to the situation could take some years, but, given the Dawlish situation it is worth checking. There will be other campaigns in other parts of the country, we will be watching for them.
